Press Release:  Meter Dates and Times

 

The City of Cape May and the Cape May police department would like to advise the public of a change enacted last year, which affects the starting date of certain metered parking zones earlier in the year. 

This year begins the activation of metered parking on April 1st and extends metered parking until December 31st from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the following areas in the city:

 

Carpenter’s Lane – Both sides of the street from Perry Street to Ocean Street

Lyle Lane- Both sides of the Street from Decatur Street to Perry Street

Mansion Street – from Jackson Street to Perry Street

 

The metered parking is .25 per fifteen minutes or $1.00 per hour and metered spots have a 3-hour time limit for a vehicle to remain in the same location.
