NJ Run for the Fallen - Cape May Run Route

The team will leave Cape May Lighthouse and run through Cape May Point-Lower Township-City of Cape May-West Cape May-Wildwood Crest -Wildwood-North Wildwood-Stone Harbor-Avalon-Sea Isle City and finishing in Ocean City at 5:30PM at AL Post 524.

We will be at the first marker in Cape May at Patterson and Beach at 8:46 am where we are honoring SFC Jeffery Johnson and at the Veterans Monument on Columbia at 8:56 where we are honoring Seaman Aaren Redd, OS-2 William Trapnell, LCpl Curtis Christensen and WW 1 Veterans

 

One Mile- One Flag – One Hero
September 21- 24, 2017

In an apolitical reflection of remembrance a team ofactive duty military personnel from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and other bases across the US will come together to embark on a 196 mile run that honors every NJ service member killed in support of the GWOT (Global War on Terror) and all Wars and Conflicts.
Each mile is dedicated to a NJ Hero and their family. The run team will stop at each Hero Marker presenting a flag and personalized biography to waiting loved ones and comrades with the goal of creating a 196+ mile memorial trail through NJ.

“NJ Run for the Fallen” will kick off on Thursday September 21st at 8:00am at Cape May Lighthouse with a “start” ceremony for the four day, 196+ mile run through Cape May Point, West Cape May, Lower Twp.Wildwood Crest, Wildwood, North Wildwood, Stone Harbor, Avalon, Sea Isle City, Ocean City, Somers Point, Egg Harbor, Galloway, Tuckerton, Long Beach Island, Ocean Twp., Toms River, Brick, Mantoloking, Point Pleasant, Sea Girt, Belmar, Bradley Beach, Asbury Park, Long Branch, Oceanport, Shrewsbury and Lincroft to finish at the NJ Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial in Holmdel on National Gold Star Mother/Family Day, Sunday September 24, 2017.
